THE VISIONARY BEHIND ICEY
In 2019, Khristin Isley-Jackson, a first-generation college graduate, founded ICEY, LLC, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering students to achieve their academic and professional goals. Born from her personal experiences as a first-generation college student, ICEY was created to bridge the gap in college readiness, career development, and leadership development.
Khristin's own journey to college was marked by uncertainty and self-doubt. Despite feeling overwhelmed and unsure of where to start, she took a leap of faith and attended a small private university in North Carolina. This transformative experience not only led to her academic success but also helped her discover her true potential.
As she navigated the college admissions process, Khristin realized that many students lacked the resources and support they needed to succeed. She saw firsthand the impact that lack of guidance and mentorship had on students' ability to achieve their goals. This realization sparked a determination to create a organization that would provide students with the tools and resources they needed to thrive.
